Health Service Administration, also known as Healthcare Administration or Healthcare Management, refers to the management and administration of healthcare organizations, facilities, and systems. This field encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services. Health Service Administrators are professionals who oversee the operational, financial, and strategic aspects of healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other medical facilities.
The association has been formed by the dynamic and enthusiastic workforce of non medical administrators of Department of health and family welfare, Government of West Bengal who have opted for the public sector of health care services as their career as Assistant Superintendent (Non medical).
AHSA is a unified platform of Postgraduate students of hospital management of various prestigious and prominent management institutions who have chosen to serve the health care industry of the public sector in West Bengal. The members of this association are currently working throughout the state in tertiary and secondary tier of healthcare system as Assistant superintendent and deputy superintendents of their respective hospitals.
